"I've just received my second board from Jason at Leven Surfboards, and it's an absolute bad boy.I've owned boards from many of the big name shapers eg; AM, DHD, JS and MP but I can honestly say none of them have compared to the sticks Jas has done for me. No B.S, I'm absolutely loving the boards, they're wicked. He who knows his stuff and is a real help in getting a board that flies. I thoroughly recommend Leven surfboards and will definately be getting all my boards from them in the future. The only bad thing I'd say is that they are too cheap Jas. I almost feel guilty taking such excellent boards away for 30% less than I'd pay for a generic, three width - fits all, branded board,"

Just emailing to say thanks again for sorting me out with a new board at the last minute just before going to Morocco (the green 6'3" one with purple skulls). Ended up getting some good waves at Ankas, Tamri and Imousanne. Board seems ideal 4 me, didn't have any problems apart from a few dings trying to get in at Ankas but all sorted now. Thanks again Jas

Sorry I haven't been in contact for a while...have hadplenty of time to put the board you made for me through a few paces with the swells we've been having so here's the feedback....been at Croyde, N.Devon quite a bit, so had a few powerful days.
2-3ft waves: goes like a rocket nice and stable, very bouyant for it thickness, take off's are quick and there's alot of drive through the base of the wave. 4-5ft: again very quick through the sections, rails hold very well in the bumpy sections, great for cutbacks. 5-6ft: goes like a missile, again stable, tough and soild foam/glass as had a few heavy wipeouts, no pressure dings are seen. Strong in beach breaks, surprise by the flex it has which is great for speed through the bottoms and turns off the lip. Great board for hollow waves asI guess the size (6'3") get in early and drive is good. 7ft +....I'm not fit enough yet but will let you know!!
Not sure how busy you are but I'm off to Indo in September andmaybe looking for 6"8....I'll keep in contact and I'll try and get some photo's if I find a chick will stand for hours on a rock/beach with a digital camera...but Indo should be good for a few action photos.....Again Jas, board is fanastic and looks slick too...few my mates have riden it and been impressed with its speed and manovurability.

Jason at Leven surfboard has shaped every board I have had over the last 10 years. He is a geniune and honest bloke and knows his stuff about shaping boards. His ability to shape any size board from fun retro fish to full long board is second to none. I fully recommend him, if you are unsure of what board you want just have a chat with him, you won't be disappointed.

Board is fantastic. goes really well. nice and loose in small surf and no probs getting into slop and keeping speed, sure the slightly wider back end helps!!. surfed some bigger waves over the last week and probably a few solid 5ft faces and it goes like a rocket. holds its rail really really well and feels right at home. believe me, im no pro but im convinced by the plan shape of this board, especially the rear end!!
Off to morrocco for a couple of weeks in december and hopefully get some solid surf so i will let you know how it goes over there. Your welcome to borrow it sometime and try out for yourself . living in devon at the mo but regularly back home. will let you know next time if you want. Been throwing recommendations out up here, hopefully you will get some calls. Cheers again for the board, love it!!!!!

I've had several boards shaped by Jas and they all rocked! I've had a thruster, a minimal and a retro fish and I am never disappointed. I intened to use him again and again. He sure knows his stuff.

All good so far with the board. I have tried it out in all sorts so far, from 2 Ė 3 foot Gwenvor, 4 foot Gwithian and 2 foot lev. So far so good. The board paddles so easily for me. Loads of float and it just glides into the waves. I surfed Lev yesterday at low tide and it was a pleasure. It was only small but a few head high sets were coming through and it got into the waves really well and drove down the line. I got in at Gwith yest morn and there were a few 4 footers coming through but didnít mange to make them, but again it is just getting used to paddling into something well overhead, havenít done that for a while.......................Overall very pleased with the board. The graphics are ace and I have had some good comments about them and how well they were sprayed onto the board. So thumbs up for the Skulls.
Cheers Jas and I will see you soon

I had a shocker the other day when i saw you at Godrevy, buthad a really fun one atPorthmeor earlier today, only waist to chest high, but punchy on good banks and super clean.
My 6'4 goes real good. It's a really nice, fast all round board, that went well on the smaller days in indo, and i surf it every day here at home. Im 6'1 so its my shortboard. I like to surf a fairly chunky longer shortboard(its 19' wide and 2 3/8 thick)as it ups my wave count and (hopefully!) smoothes out my style.I ve changed the spray too, decided i found it a bit phycadelic! The top is still the same, but ive sanded the logos back on the nose and tail,as you suggested and it certainly looks better and they really stand out. I also decided to sand the bottom back to its original white too, and all in all im pretty pleased with it now!
I found that the 6'6 pintail went really well in Indo when the waves were 4 ft or over. It allowed me to pick up waves really early and held really tight in the pocket, but was also really wesponsive. I got my best ever stand up back handbarrel on it in on the speedies sectionof G-land! Have'nttaken it out of the bag since i got home though.
My other board, a 6'5 swallow tail is a nice board that goes good in waves under 6ft (when it starts to feel a bit loose with its fairlywide tail!), but i really like it when the waves are small and clean when it flies! Its full of dings and a bit heavy now though, soI might have to get something similar made upagain soon.
See you in the sea i'm sure!
